For the first time in my adult life, I am not proud of my country.
America had a stark choice in this election--and it chose poorly.
Mitt Romney was an experienced and accomplished executive that would have worked tirelessly to right our Ship of State. He offered job creation and hard work as a means to solve our economic woes. He candidly spoke of the reforms needed to preserve our safety nets and entitlement programs so that they would not be compromised or lost altogether.
Mitt Romney meant integrity, leadership, and reform.
Instead, we collectively embraced the leftist economic policies of Barack Obama and the stagnant growth they deliver. His consistent neophyte leadership was deemed to be worthy to continue by the public.
The widespread naivety that greater levels of confiscatory taxation on the rich will drive a more equitable, just, and prosperous society was on grand display.
We have clamped the shackles of debt even tighter around our wrists and ankles and declared financial insanity to be the policy of our government.
In Obama, America has allied itself with a champion of gay marriage and state-funded abortion on demand.
Once the tax increases of the new year arrive, the full brunt of Obamacare hits business, and the fiscal cliff begins its apocalyptic cuts, can we expect no less than another downgrade of the US credit rating?
If not a depression, then certainly we re-enter into a recession.
The next four years have the potential to be some of the worst in our history--and all Americans will suffer.
America is BABYLON, the Whore of the Earth.
It gets the government is deserves.

A perfect post. I couldn't have said it better myself. Really... I could not, your vocabulary is huge. :)
I just half murdered our holly bush because I started thinking about the election while trimming it and couldn't stopped whacking parts off.
